Welcome to Woolwine! We're located in the northern part of Patrick County in Virginia. The community lies in the Rocky Knob American Viticulture area. Also a great area for wine tasting. Opportunities for outdoor activities abound and include fishing, swimming, camping, hiking, and birdwatching, to name a few. Woolwine sits at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and nears sections of the Appalachian Trail.

You could hike to the Smith River, spend the day on the Blue Ridge Parkway or in the Meadows of Dan or Town of Floyd, and visit Fairy Stone State Park in Philpott Lake. Ferrum College and Martinsville Speedway are only a short drive away with numerous things to do in both directions.

If history is what draws you to the area, you could visit the J. E. B. Stewart birthplace for the Highland Games and Civil War reenactments.

Bluegrass fans will enjoy the Wayside Bluegrass Festival, the Patrick County Music Association in Stuart, and the Floyd Country Store. There are several events throughout the year, such as the Peach Festival, Folk Fair, Meadows of Dan Pancake Days, the Covered Bridge Festival, Floyd Fest, the Beach Music Festival, gospel music and more.
